- Great physical workout
- Very peaceful

Recommendations:
- Can't emphasize enough how important it is to know your limits so that you don't get yourself in a situation you can't handle.
- Be prepared for a longer trip than you intended.
- If you are at a location were people can bike and hike then be sure to watch out for one another.
- Don't purchase new shoes and go hiking with them. You will have enough blisters that you won't be able to walk.
- If you are trying out a new bike be sure to use it before you leave because you don't want to arrive at a site with a dysfunctional one.
